Join one of the Riverland’s most knowledgeable authorities of birdlife as you wander the serene woodlands and wetlands. To account for the incredibly diverse array of species found here, authorities conduct numerous surveys and bird counts each year to monitor changes and welfare of the wetland and woodland bird populations.

Banrock Station birdwatching tours departs at 7am where you will meet up with your tour guide and set out in a spacious SUV to visit exclusive parts of the centre not accessible to the general public. It is here that you will have the opportunity to quietly spy on all the feathery friends that stop by and snap some photos, if you’re quick. A morning tea is also provided in a cosy spot with panoramic views overlooking the Banrock Station wetlands and vineyards.

  • In the event of extreme or inclement weather, tours may need to be rescheduled or cancelled. Should another suitable date agreeable to both parties not be available, tours will be refunded in full. Due to recent flood conditions and rising river levels, some parts of the wetlands maybe inaccessible during your visit. Please contact us if you require further information. __Guidlines__
  • A site map with roads, muster points, UHF channels and relevant points of interest will be available in the vehicle. The tour concludes at midday at Banrock Station, where we invite you to stay on for a wine tasting at our Cellar Door or dine for lunch in our restaurant overlooking the wetlands. Our tour guide has a current certificate in Apply First Aid and CPR and carries a First Aid kit at all times

  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
